''My life mission must be to empower women''
ON HER STUDIES AND EARLY CAREER
I am a graduate of the Faculty of Letters, I have completed a master's degree in Literary Hermeneutics and I am currently a PhD student in the third year at the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, researching clothing fashion in the context of communist Romania until now.
My first job (and the only one as an employee, by the way) was in the field of advertising, but my passion for fashion has always existed. I started working in this field since college, more precisely in 2015, when I had my first collaboration with Glamour Romania magazine, being one of the 10 ambassadors, a collaboration that lasted for 3 years.
ON STARTING HER OWN BUSINESS
My first small business was related to the online, when I collaborated with various national and international brands in the fields of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and traveling for their influencer marketing campaigns.
Then, a year after graduating from college, when I was only 25 years old, I opened in Iasi the first concept store with Romanian designers. It was an extremely appreciated business not only by the community from Iași, but also by the clients from other cities and even from other countries that visited our store.
Not long after the opening the store, at the request of customers, I started to offer personal styling sessions. Now I have a business build on these image consulting programs for women entrepreneurs and not only, generally women who want to improve their own image so that it is alligned with their personal and professional values.
In addition to the personal styling business, we also developed the first personal styling application in Romania, MOD App, on which you can find out more on www.modapp.me.
ON HER GREATEST CHALLENGE/TOUGHEST MOMENT
The biggest challenge was to decide to close the Romanian designers concept store in Iași. It was a business I loved, a business that could have been scaled up, but I realized that I wanted more decisions making freedom. Being a consignment store, many of my actions would have to had been coordinated with those of the designers hosted by the store, which I felt was very restrictive.
ON HER STYLE
First of all, feminine, relying exclusively on quality pieces, made of natural materials. I really like the creations of the Romanian designers, which is why I have a lot of pieces signed by them in my wardrobe.
ON FINDING HER BALANCE
I have to admit that I'm a workaholic and when I sit at my laptop, I forget to take breaks. A healthy morning routine helps me a lot: I wake up early (around 6 or 7 am, without any alarm), I make a coffee and prepare a snack, I read a few pages, I plan my day, I watch the latest online news, I do sports (I still have to work on building a habit). Then, what also gives me balance are the moments spent with my loved ones, the walks, the trips and a nice SPA.
''Style is not just about clothes. Style is your life, with all of its variables''
HER MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR THE WOMEN SHE WORKS WITH
Get to know yourself, ask yourself the right questions, answer them and expand everything in terms of clothing. Style is just an extension of you, your values, your job, your interpersonal relationships. Style is not just about clothes. Style is your life, with all of its variables.
A DALB PIECE THAT SHE COULD WEAR YEARS FROM NOW
Oh ... I love a lot of DALB pieces, but what comes to my mind now is the DALB top, with bare shoulders, that I wore in Rome last summer and that I feel I could integrate in so many outfits!
