EVERY DALB WOMAN HAS A UNIQUE STORY TO TELL

SUCCESS, CHALLENGES AND STYLE FROM REMARKABLE WOMEN

Diana Mihăilă is a master organizer and a master connector. With a successful career in teaching people how to bring order into their daily lives, a popular TV segment and a very active Facebook community, she is a ray of calm and happiness all around. How she manages to balance all this with her family and a very feminine look, we are about to find out.

''I always choose to stay focused on the main goal. I think it's a healthy and effective way to look at organization.'

ON HOW SHE CAME TO REALIZE ORGANIZING IS SOMETHING SHE'S PASSIONATE ABOUT

Passion led me to where I am today. I really like organization and I understand it. I don't practice organization in excess, but in moderation. Too much is bad, so I choose to prioritize. I deal with what is important and urgent in that moment. If I have to work and I have a deadline, I could live with the mess my kids have made in the room. I always choose to stay focused on the main goal. I think it's a healthy and effective way to look at organization.

For many people, this concept is synonymous with perfection. Everything must be lined up and the space must sparkle. In an ideal world, the organization might be like this. In the real world, however, it is counterproductive to imagine that we would always have a perfect flow and a space where every object reaches its place after every use. Human factors such as fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, poor health at certain times have their say. And that is precisely why I campaign for the normalization of this concept.

ON THE HARDEST MOMENT IN HER CAREER AND ON HOW SHE MANAGED TO PULL THROUGH

I don't feel I’ve had difficult moments throughout the path I have chosen. There were perhaps just a series of delays generated by certain life stages. Yes, I felt frustration. Yes, I wish I had done some things sooner, but I chose to make peace with myself and understand that the priorities were different at that moment. Life has taught me that there is a time for everything that is meant to be ours. It's important to stay focused and determined, but there's no point in punishing ourselves for not reaching our destination when we imagined we would. Sometimes these procrastinations allow us to finish an idea and turn it into reality in a better form. That's how I choose to think.

ON HER BIGGEST PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR

I would say that my most important achievement so far is that I am satisfied with myself and what I do. Being an entrepreneur is not easy. But when you feel like you've found your purpose, obstacles become easier to overcome. If I were to point out a few things that I am proud of, it would be the fact that I am the first person in Romania to be certified as a specialist in organizational solutions, that I created a method that was validated for me within the Master Organizer program, that I was recognized by Facebook as a community leader, that the European Parliament included my program, #MareaOrganizare, among the initiatives with a positive impact on a large scale, during the pandemic, that I am the first Romanian author specialized in organization who wrote books for children that include solutions suitable for them. And the latest thing that I'm happy about with all my heart is the fact that I won the Most Inspirational Content Creator award at the COMMA Awards 2024.

''Life has taught me that there is a time for everything that is meant to be ours. It's important to stay focused and determined, but there's no point in punishing ourselves for not reaching our destination when we imagined we would. ''

ON WHETHER SHE'S ALWAYS WORN ELEGANT, FEMININE CLOTHES

Most of the times, yes. I love my feminine side. I would love to explore it more, but that will definitely happen after the kids are older. When I'm with them, I mix femininity with functionality. When I'm with myself in my adult life, I go all the way. I wear heels, a lot of accessories, lighter colors, finer fabrics.

ON HOW SHE'S BALANCING HER LOVE FOR CLOTHES WITH HAVING TWO SMALL, ACTIVE CHILDREN

I usually choose my clothes according to the place I go to, to the activity I am taking part in or my state of mind, and not fearing the possible stains that children could make on my clothes. When you are a parent you learn to live with that too.

ON HER MOST CHERISHED PIECE IN HER WARDROBE

I would say the wedding dress that I so dearly keep even after 12 years of marriage.

''When you open the doors of the dressing room, you should have the same feeling that you get when meeting your best friend.''

ON THREE QUALITY ITEMS THAT EVERY WOMAN SHOULD OWN

A suit blazer that fits you perfectly, a dress that highlights your femininity, a good quality bag.

ON HER DAILY SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

When it comes to clothes, I try to draw inspiration from my own closet. I strive to always like what I have there. It is also a form of organization, obviously. I once heard something that stuck with me: when you open the doors of the dressing room, you should have the same feeling that you get when meeting your best friend. I am guided by this!

ON ONE PIECE OF ADVICE THAT SHE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OTHER WOMEN

I think it's important to come to love yourself. As a woman, you go through many transformations, especially if you become a mother. To adapt to these periods is to evolve. It doesn't help us to stay attached to our image from a particular moment. I overcame it. Let's not stop becoming.

ON ONE ADVICE THAT SHE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH HER YOUGER SELF

I would tell myself to trust and relax. To always know my worth and always stay on my path.
